Welcome! I’m Kim!

I’m wife to a man who still gives me butterflies and is endlessly supportive of all my ideas, no matter how nutty they might seem. We’re #emptynesters learning to navigate this next season of our life together. I’m also the mother of two, intelligent and beautiful, daughters.

About me: I found myself in a not so unique place a few years ago. As a mom, I was on the verge of becoming “obsolete”. I’m not talking about the dictionary definition of the word, but the transition from staying at home with our babies to having adult children. At the time, it scared the heck out of me and after melting down into a puddle of tears, I decided to figure out how to embrace it and fight back with words, coffee, humor, and dessert!

Thanks for following along. I started this blog as a way to reach out to other “obsolete” parents everywhere. I thought it would be a great way to sort through what it means to travel this “post-parenting, middle aged, what now?” road.
